The issue here
Coming out of the closet is one of the most important aspects when considering discrimination based on sexual orientation. The difference between sexual orientation and most other grounds for discrimination is that the so-called "stigma" can be hidden, simply by not talking about one’s homosexuality. But being open is not easy, considering the taboo and negative reactions of many people.
