As a youth counsellor working either in school or in a separate office (e.g. in a psychosocial institution or private psychological practice), you will probably have a proper training on how to counsel in general. But as you will have experienced, your clients will have to deal with different problems depending on their backgrounds and contexts. This is certainly true of lesbian, gay, and bisexual young people in multicultural situations.
