| The issue here Conservative religious leaders of all religions have condemned homosexuality, referring to their Scriptures. For religious as well as nonreligious teenagers this condemnation can create serious problems. Often, young people are not yet aware of the different and sometimes more nuanced religious views on homosexuality. For teachers and counsellors, this sensitive issue may be difficult to discuss. What you will find In this chapter we offer a general view of different religious views on homosexuality and we give advice on how to deal with discussions on religions and homosexuality in class and counselling. For further reading and support we refer to the chapter background theory. Download the pdf version. |
